These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and WordKeeper (“we”, “us”) for the use of WordKeeper (the “game”) and wordkeeper.store. They are also the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the game. By installing or playing the game, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the game. They took effect on 27 October 2026.
Who may play
You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may play only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you and is responsible for your use of the game, including any purchases.
Your account
- You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it. Keep access to your device and any linked login secure.
- Your username must not impersonate anyone, contain hate speech, sexual or violent content, personal information, links or advertising, or break the law. We may change or remove a username that breaks this rule.
- Accounts are personal. You may not sell, buy, trade, share or transfer an account.
- Uninstalling the game does not delete your account. See Account and Data Deletion.
Licence to use the game
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the game, except where the law allows it despite this limit.
Virtual currencies and items
The game includes virtual currencies, such as coins, gems and energy, and virtual items, such as keepsakes, ink, heroes and chests (“virtual items”).
- Virtual items are licensed to you, not sold. You do not own them.
- Virtual items have no real-world value. They cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services, and cannot be sold, traded or transferred, inside or outside the game.
- We may change, rebalance, limit or remove virtual items, their prices and how they can be earned, for example to fix errors or keep the game balanced.
- Virtual items are lost if your account is deleted or terminated, or if the game is discontinued, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.
Purchases and refunds
You can buy gems and other virtual items with real money through Google Play Billing on Android or the App Store on iOS. Prices are shown in the store before you buy and include the taxes the store applies. The store’s terms govern the payment.
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where the store’s refund policy gives you a refund. Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled by Google; for App Store purchases, by Apple. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you agree that the purchased content is delivered to your account immediately after purchase, and you acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins.
If a purchase does not reach your account, email theverbarium@gmail.com with the order ID from your store receipt and we will put it right.
Chests and random items
Some chests give a keepsake chosen at random. The chance of each rarity is published on the Chest Drop Rates page and in the game before you open a chest. We update those odds before any change takes effect.
Fair play
You agree not to:
- use cheats, bots, macros, automation, modified clients or any software that plays the game for you or gives you an unfair advantage, including tools that find or enter words for you during battles, ranked matches or duels;
- exploit bugs or errors instead of reporting them;
- manipulate ranked results, for example by losing on purpose, playing against your own accounts or arranging results with other players;
- interfere with the game’s servers or other players’ connection to them;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, including through usernames or duel invitations;
- use the game for any unlawful purpose.
Ranked seasons and duels
Ranked seasons run for a set time. At the end of a season, rewards are given according to your tier and results, as described in the game. We may reset tiers between seasons and change seasons, tiers and rewards. If we find that rank or rewards were gained by breaking these terms, we may remove them. Duels are played with friends through room codes. Do not share room codes in places where you would not share them with strangers.
Advertising
The game may show ads, including ads you choose to watch for a reward. Ad rewards are virtual items and follow the rules above. How ads use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to the game
The game is updated over time. We may add, change or remove content and features, and we may need to stop the game temporarily for maintenance. We may discontinue the game. If we do, we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the game where possible.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the game, remove virtual items or reset progress if you break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect other players or the game. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. You may stop playing and delete your account at any time. Sections on virtual items, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law continue after termination.
Intellectual property
The game, its characters, art, music, text, software and trademarks belong to WordKeeper or its licensors and are protected by law. Apart from the licence in these terms, you receive no rights in them.
Disclaimers
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, virtual items, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for all claims about the game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 euros. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If you got the game from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and WordKeeper, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the game or its content.
- Your licence is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the game.

- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending or settling a claim that the game infringes someone’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you in the game before they take effect. If you keep playing after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
